About

UDGAMANA is a Sanskrit word having two meanings “ to become visible” and to “rise” . We  believe that this is a platform to make the unmet needs of under privileged, vulnerable children visible to policy makers, stakeholders and relevant agencies to address them.

UDGAMANA is the result of keen observation of the plight of children in the country, identifying the lacunae in the health interventions delivery system and how it is restricted by the cultural and social backgrounds of the people. This group together is going to try and achieve equality and equity in mass dissemination of the health related information, interventions and programmes and contribute towards improving the overall living conditions of children with focus on education and primary health needs, mental well being and child rights.

Our Vision

We at ‘ UDGAMANA ‘ strive towards developing a platform to provide for and spread awareness to under privileged children with limited access to basic living facilities, fundamental rights and education.

We believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there’s no better place to start than in the corridors of education and good health, as a sound body has a sound mind.

Education and better health is both the means as well as the end to a better life.

Education empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behaviour to understanding one’s rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.

At UDGAMANA we strive to empower underprivileged children, youth and girl child through relevant education, basic healthcare and socially and culturally focused programmes.
